The public transport facilities are excellent; in just a few minutes you are in the center of the city. The Amsterdam Zuid train station is within walking distance where various trains (including direct connections to Schiphol, Utrecht, The Hague, Rotterdam) depart. Various trams, subways and buses also depart from this station and you can take the North-South line here (metro 52).
